If you need an escape from the busyness of life, then spending time in the company of cows in the Cairns hinterland might just be the experience you are seeking.
Cow Cuddling involves meeting, sitting with, cuddling, and scratching hand-raised cows on a farm. The slower heart rate and warm body temperature of the cows induces a slowing of our own heart rate, as well as the release of Oxytocin, our social bonding hormone.
Visit this scenic Animal Rescue Farm and enjoy an hour-long Cow Cuddling session with these beautiful therapy cows to enjoy both the scientifically proven physiological benefits of the activity as well as the relaxing effects of being outside in the open air on the lush farm surrounded by tropical rainforest. During your session, Founder Lawrence will introduce you to some of the herd that includes Amy, Ella, Holly, Nushi, Sally, Sophia, Milkshake and Babyccino.
We also love that Lawrence provides employment opportunities for people living with mental illness, people who are neurodiverse, and people living with intellectual disabilities – so your experience also helps others.
Cow Cuddling is offered from Thursday to Sunday from 7am until 10am.
