Launceston and North

Tasmania

The stunning north-east region of Tasmania is the perfect place to immerse in nature. There's the clear blue seas of the Bay of Fires, the lush rainforest near Launceston, and countless pristine beaches, iconic national parks and gorgeous seaside towns.

One of Tasmania’s most well-known coastal villages is Coles Bay and it’s where you’ll find world-famous Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park. Get active in nature with a bushwalk or a kayak; or nourish yourself with the freshest local produce.

Bicheno and Beaumaris are towns where you can seek some ocean therapy with some of the best surf spots anywhere on the island; and the classic Tasmanian fishing village of Orford marks the southern starting point of the Great Eastern Drive, one of Australia’s most scenic road journeys.

If you really want to get away from it all, this is one of the most beautiful places to escape to.
