Saltwater Eco Tours, based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, is forging a deeper connection to Australia’s Indigenous culture through unique marine experiences on board a beautifully restored heritage listed vessel.
Operating on the peaceful waterways of the Mooloolah River, the Indigenous owned and operated company is the first of its kind on the Sunshine Coast, combining culture, maritime history, native food and live music.
The 2-hour signature Saltwater Cultural Tour will have you slipping through the Mooloolaba canals on board the ‘Spray of the Coral Coast’, a 114-year-old timber sailing boat. This is the chance to immerse yourself in an unforgettable and interactive cultural experience through storytelling, music and entertainment with Traditional Owner Aunty Bridgette Chilli who will share her knowledge of the local area and it’s cultural history.
Soak up the sun, relax on the deck and keep an eye out for local wildlife as you enjoy an array of delicious bush-tucker inspired 3-course lunch, with fresh Mooloolaba prawns and oysters and refreshing drinks.
This tour is held on Saturdays and on request.
