Mandala is a Sanskrit word that loosely translates to mean “circle” or “centre.” This Mindful Mandala class, hosted by the talented Cathy Gray, is an invitation to learn how to unwind through creative expression using an ancient form of meditation.
Cathy’s studio in Bridgewater, in the Adelaide Hills, is a space designed for calm and quiet and you will find that your busy mind begins to slow as soon as you walk through the doors.
During this class, you will learn how to express your thoughts and feelings through art and become more mindful of yourself as you draw a hypnotic mandala. You will also learn all about the wonderful ways in which this spiritual form of art can benefit your day to day life.
Together, you will start with a blank sheet with a dot in the middle and from that same point you will start to create something so individual it will become a representation of your inner self.
This art class isn’t about the finished product (although you will take your artwork home), it’s about the journey you take to get there.
