Barossa Outdoors is a family owned and operated business based in Williamstown, which is known as the southern gateway to the Barossa region in South Australia.
They offer a range of outdoor experiences including self-guided and guided kayak tours, e-bike adventures and hikes. The reservoirs around Williamstown are perfect for kayaking – there’s no tidal current and the winds are usually calm, providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience on the tranquil reservoir waters. Don’t worry if you’ve never kayaked before or if it’s been a while. Your accredited kayak instructor will be on deck to give you some simple paddling tips and tricks to get you started. There are also a multitude of forest trails to explore in the area that can be accessed for hiking and mountain biking excursions too.
You’ll see a great variety of birdlife such as pelicans, cormorants, herons and spoonbills. You may even catch a glimpse of native fauna such as kangaroos, emus and the resident koala, Benny.
