Escape the hustle and bustle and head out for a kayak on the calm waterways of Ganguddy-Dunns Swamp, in the Mudgee region, with Southern Cross Kayaking

Ganguddy is a beautiful, serene waterway on the Cudgegong River, located in the Wollemi National Park. It is of particular significance to the local Wiradjuri People and contains many traditional sites and art.

This immersive 2-hour kayaking experience combines beauty, history, and fascinating insights into the stunning World Heritage-listed Wollemi landscape. Your experienced guide will share stories and information on the natural and cultural history of the area and its environmental significance. There will also be opportunities for rest, hydration, discussion, photographs and quiet observation and appreciation.

We love that you can choose from a ‘Good morning Ganguddy’ tour to experience the serenity of a morning paddle and witness the waterway come to life; or the ‘Friday on my mind’ tour – a leisurely, picturesque paddle at sunset.

Kayak tours of Ganguddy-Dunns Swamp are offered from September through to April and are suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers.

This experience is held on Wiradjuri Country.
The meeting point is Ganguddy Campground, which is about an hour from Mudgee, It’s located at Dunns Swamp Rd, Wollemi National Park.
