Permaculture gardens line your way to The Zin House, a One Chef’s Hat regional restaurant that’s part of the organic and biodynamic Lowe Family Wine Co vineyard in Mudgee.
Here the Zin chefs work closely with the garden team to develop a seasonal menu that reflects what they grow, how they grow it and the impact it has. The surrounding gardens and farmland form the basis of the dishes, accompanied by local producers who share the sustainable ethos.
You’ll feel at home in the modern farmhouse with the set menu dining experience, with time to wander the food gardens, meet the chefs, and soak in the views from the open-air hearth. Made from scratch, the food reflects owner Kim Currie‘s guiding principles of authenticity, generosity and quality.
Plated sharing style, you’ll enjoy this experience over several hours with good company and optional matched wines from the organic vines nearby.
Our tip: Join the complimentary guided garden walk (11.40am Friday and Mondays only) to learn more about the garden philosophy, what’s in season, and how this produce guides the dishes you’ll eat.
