This immersive weekend at Heartwood Farm in the Byron Bay Hinterland invites you into a sacred circle to reconnect with the ancient wisdom of the Shamanic Drum.

Guided by Mele – Mama White Lion – you’ll craft your own 16-inch Medicine Drum and Beater across the 2 days while exploring its cultural lineage, symbolism, and ceremonial use. Through rhythm, song, and guided journeying, the experience deepens your connection to nature, spirit, and self.

More than a workshop, it’s a personal and transformative process – honouring creativity, presence, and the timeless relationship between sound, healing, and the living Earth.

Highlights

Craft your own 16-inch Medicine Drum and Beater using kangaroo or goat skin.
Learn traditional drum songs and shamanic journeying.

Getting there

This experience is held on Bundjalung Country.
Federal is approximately 30minutes from Byron Bay and Ballina. Heartwood Farm is located at 498 Binna Burra Road, Federal NSW.

AU $1200+gst per person for the 2-day experience (BYO Camping gear and food).
Deer skin upgrade is AU $176+gst per person.
