Karkalla on Country is hosted by Mindy Woods, a proud Bundjalung woman from the Widjabul Wia-bul clan and the first Aboriginal woman to earn an AGFG Chef’s Hat.
It’s an immersive cultural and culinary experience on Bundjalung Country at Conscious Ground, a certified organic farm and education centre in Myocum, near Byron Bay, Cavanbah.
You are invited to join Mindy for this unique 3-hour experience that showcases local, seasonal produce and Australian native ingredients within a thriving regenerative native food forest. You’ll share stories with a Bundjalung Elder, walk together on Bundjalung Country and learn about culture and bush tucker while creating new stories and memories over delicious meals and meaningful conversations.
Mindy will share ancient ingredients and their powerful medicinal uses, passed down through generations. We love that you’ll learn how to bring these native flavours into your own kitchen, connecting with the land through every bite.
