Experience the meditative practice of hand building your own ceramics pieces in this eight-week course suitable for complete beginners.
The passionate team at JamFactory will introduce you to a range of construction techniques including coiling, pinching and more. You will also be guided through surface treatment techniques to add texture and decorative elements to your pieces before glazing. All finished work will then be fired in JamFactory’s Ceramics Studio to be collected after the course concludes.
All required tools and materials are supplied including clay, shaping tools, plaster moulds and a variety of glazes to choose from. You can expect to take home 8-9 finished pieces in a range of sculptural and practical forms such as mugs, jugs, vases and flat slab-ware pieces such as plates or trays.
