The Grand Canyon Walk is one of Tread Lightly’s signature guided walks in the Blue Mountains World Heritage area, giving access to a remote wilderness, ancient rainforest, deep gorges and canyons, and amazing sandstone escarpments.
It’s a world-class and historic 6km track that hikers have tackled since 1907 and your qualified ecology guide will share their knowledge of the area as you pass many waterfalls and cross many creeks along the way.
This private 3-4 hour walk requires a good level of fitness as it will see you traverse a winding path and do some rock hopping in the base of the canyon, then climbing steep sandstone steps before finishing in a superb eucalyptus forest on the edge of the wilderness, where the views are definitely worth it!
We love that The Grand Canyon Walk can be extended from a few hours to a full day and tailor-made to suit your needs. Our tip – add on a picnic lunch immersed in nature!
