Step into the slow, sensory world of the hive with this intimate 1-hour honey and bee experience in the NSW Southern Highlands at the beautiful Bowral Honey Farm.
Begin beside the hives, protected by a veil, where you’ll witness the quiet rhythm of thousands of bees moving in harmony. Learn about the colony’s intricate social life, seasonal cycles and the essential role bees play in sustaining our ecosystems. A demonstration hive reveals the inner architecture of a modern apiary, deepening your understanding of these extraordinary pollinators.
The experience then unfolds on a sunlit terrace overlooking the farm, where a guided tasting of six honeys invites you to explore flavour as landscape – from delicate and floral to rich and complex. Paired with fresh sourdough and tea or coffee, it’s a nourishing pause.
And we love that each visit includes a mindful moment among the bees – a chance to breathe, listen and reconnect with the natural world in the Southern Highlands.
This experience is held on Saturdays.
