Spend a meaningful morning in the lush lei garden at Common Ground, a regenerative farm on Kauaʻi, exploring the plants, traditions and cultural significance behind one of Hawaiʻi’s most beloved floral art forms.
This hands-on workshop centres on the lei poʻo, a beautiful flower crown worn on the head, and offers a deeper connection to the land through guided learning and making. Wander through the garden to discover the native and traditional plants used in lei, then sit beneath the lei tent to learn traditional techniques from experienced guides.
With freshly harvested materials at hand, you’ll create your own lei poʻo to take home – a beautiful keepsake of a morning spent learning, creating and connecting with Hawaiʻi’s rich living traditions.
