Discover Waipā’s 1,600-acre ahupuaʻa (a traditional Hawaiian land division) on Kauaʻi’s North Shore and the deep cultural relationship between Hawaiian people, food and ʻāina (land and natural resources).
This immersive 3.5-hour experience reveals how traditional Hawaiian knowledge created thriving, sustainable communities, and how those practices continue to shape Waipā today. Travel through the valley by foot and open-air vehicle, learning about its natural landscapes, waterways and food systems before enjoying a farm tasting and four-course lunch featuring ingredients largely sourced from Waipā.
Along the way, discover Hawaiian values and the Foundation’s approach to caring for the land and community. It’s a nourishing opportunity to slow down, learn through place and connect with Hawaiʻi’s living culture.
Tours are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am.
