The easiest way to see the Snowy Mountains is hiking and the most popular hike in the region is the one with the highest reward of summiting Australia’s tallest peak. An absolute bucket list adventure, the 18.6km adventure to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko is not for the faint-hearted but your efforts will be duly rewarded.
Ideally hiked in the summer months of December - March, there is the option for skiing the track during winter for those who are experienced enough to do so. Guided tours are also available, often spanning multiple days allowing you to truly soak in the raw and pure magic of your surroundings.
