A vibrant celebration of local flavours, culture and community, the Hilo Farmers Market has been a beloved gathering place since it was founded in 1988 by Richard “Mike” Rankin.
What began with just four farmers selling produce from their vehicles has grown into one of Hawaiʻi’s most celebrated markets. Today, Market Master Keith De La Cruz and his dedicated team oversee the market year-round, welcoming more than 150 vendors on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with smaller markets held every day of the week.
Wander through colourful stalls filled with tropical fruits, fresh vegetables, fragrant flowers, artisan foods, handmade crafts and locally made gifts. It’s the perfect place to meet local growers, support Hawaiian businesses and experience the authentic spirit of Hilo.
