As you paddle, you’ll see the dramatic peak of Makana (meaning ‘gift’ in Hawaiian) and the lush, waterfall-streaked ridges of Namolokama, Mamalahoa and Hihimanu, while your expert local guide shares stories of the area’s history, culture and unique ecosystems.

Along the way, keep watch for honu (Hawaiian green sea turtles), the elusive spinner dolphins and native birdlife before stopping to snorkel vibrant coral reefs, explore secluded beaches or simply soak up the serenity of this spectacular coastline.

Enjoy a nourishing picnic lunch while you relax and fully immerse yourself in the experience. Getting there

The meeting point is Kayak Kaua’i Headquarters, which is located at 3-5971 Kuhio Hwy, Wailua River Marina, Kapaa, Kaua’i – it’s 10 minutes from Līʻhue Airport. The team will transport you to and from Hanalei and can also arrange pick-ups along the way.
