The award-winning Sticky Rice Cooking School is located in the gorgeous Adelaide Hills and offers unique culinary adventures and soulful overnight accommodation.

It’s a place where you’ll be immersed in the culture of cooking. Where you will not only learn how to prepare and present a delicious meal, but really come to understand the different ingredients, their provenance and the significance and story behind the dish.

The Japanese Escape Package will have you staying in the beautiful Yoko Villa with your choice of a private hands on cooking class with an experienced chef or a catered dinner with a 3 course Japanese menu with matching wines included.

The Villa boasts Japanese Gardens, stunning Shoji screens, a Japanese bath and a two person luxury shower. In the courtyard, experience the impact of a vertical living garden wall while you enjoy breakfast in the tea-house or under the shade of the Japanese Maple.

We love that you can learn new skills during a mini-escape to a far off destination while staying close to home.

Making a difference

  • The Villas have a six star energy rating and a range of environmental design elements such as solar underfloor heating, double glazing, and recycle waste water systems
  • There is an onsite garden that provides ingredients for the cooking school.
