Gidjuum Gulganyi Multi-Day Walk – Pack Free Option

Byron Bay, New South Wales

Do you need to unplug from the day-to-day, and totally immerse in the natural beauty of Bundjalung Country in Northern NSW for a few days? This is the experience for you.

On this 4-day walk you’ll travel along the amazing Gidjuum Gulganyi Walk (or ‘Old Peoples Track’) with the team from Connect Adventures, carrying just a daypack – and the luxury of having your gear transported between super comfortable campsites.

The journey begins in the caldera of the ancient volcano of Wollumbin, in the World Heritage listed Gondwana Rainforest of Australia, and you’ll traverse the southeastern rim of this volcanic crater, walking 7-15km each day. Your professional guides will share their knowledge of this truly amazing subtropical and warm temperate rainforest and its environmental and cultural heritage. This memorable journey ends at the spectacular Minyon Falls.

And the best bit? You’ll be nourished by delicious and healthy chef-inspired meals and snacks, using mostly local ingredients and incorporating native ingredients wherever possible – no dehydrated ‘hiking food’ here!

This small group experience is offered between March and November and requires a good level of fitness.
