Forest Bathing, Hike and Moʻolelo

O'ahu, Hawai'i, USA

This unique 4-hour experience with Phyllis, Hawai’i’s first certified Forest Therapy Guide, blends mindful nature immersion with cultural storytelling on the western side of Oʻahu.

Beginning at Camp Pālehua – a traditional Hawaiian place of refuge – guests are guided along an easy forest trail through fragrant eucalyptus groves toward the Nānākuli Lookout.

You’ll begin the ascent accompanied by moʻolelo (stories) of the ancient Waiʻanae Range; then, when you’ve reached the ridge, transition into a slower forest bathing experience. Phyllis will then offer gentle sensory invitations that encourage quiet reflection and deeper connection with nature – you’ll have opportunities to sit quietly in contemplation, as well as share with others in the small group.

The experience concludes with a calming tea ceremony with sweeping coastal views, and you’ll leave feeling refreshed, grounded and more attuned to the living landscape.
