Swim with whales in Jervis Bay

South Coast, New South Wales, Australia

Are you ready to explore the vibrant underwater world of the Jervis Bay Marine Park on the NSW South Coast, with the chance to swim alongside majestic humpback whales, playful fur seals and common dolphins?

This unforgettable 6-hour experience begins at 7am with a gentle creek cruise and birdwatching before heading out to sea. Along the way, your expert guides will share insights into whale behaviour, the natural history of Jervis Bay and Dreamtime stories connected to the ocean. You’ll also learn simple breathwork and mindfulness techniques to help deepen your connection with the water.

Once the skipper finds the ideal location, the team from Woebegone Freedive will guide you through a safe and respectful in-water encounter. Between swims, guests can even listen to live whale sounds through “whale radio”. The tour also includes sightseeing at waterfalls and sea caves, plus a delicious homemade morning tea.

This experience is held between June and November (and animal encounters are not guaranteed). It’s suitable for confident and comfortable swimmers with snorkeling experience.
