Set in charming Beechworth, just 3 hours from Melbourne, The Benev offers a stunning setting to rest and experience slow living in luxurious rooms and grounds that promote wellness at every turn.
The Benev was born from the Benevolent Asylum, an 1861 build that provided accommodation and care to immigrants during the gold rush era. Restoring the building was to also return it to its purpose of giving back, a common thread which owners Deb and Kade have kept woven throughout the Benev and its offerings today. There is gorgeous accommodation, a day spa, a pantry and a slow living store.
The spacious suites overlook the grounds and the country views; there’s an indoor wood fireplace, rain shower, and a signature freestanding deep soak stone bath. The welcome is warm, with rooms inclusive of a refreshment bar, daily DIY spa treatments, essential oils and a ‘dabble bar’ for you to explore. Discover a collection of herbs, salts, essential oils and natural elements from the healing garden to create blends from The Benev recipe book. At The Benev Spa, curated spa rituals are featured alongside considered modern therapies.
We love that The Benev continues to be a place for respite and wellness.
