Nestled in the lush rainforests of Papaikou on Hawai‘i Island, Ancient Leaf Tea is a family-owned farm dedicated to producing exceptional handcrafted teas using regenerative and organic farming practices. Founded by Susan Schultz, who brings more than 20 years of tea expertise from Japan and the United States, the farm specialises in true tea (Camellia sinensis) alongside a diverse range of fruits, vegetables and botanicals.
Ancient Leaf Tea uses natural methods to nurture healthy, biodiverse soils and create teas with outstanding flavour. Visitors can explore the farm’s rich Hawaiian heritage while learning about sustainable agriculture through guided experiences, including a one-hour walking tour or a more immersive two-and-a-half-hour tour and tasting. The farm also hosts quarterly community volunteer days, where guests enjoy a farm tour, hands-on training in regenerative farming techniques, and a light catered lunch while helping support the land.
