One day guided kayak adventure

Sunshine Coast, Queensland

Experience a truly sustainable kayak adventure into the Noosa Everglades on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Immerse yourself in a pristine wilderness as you explore one of just two Everglades in the world.

On arrival at the meeting point you will be settled into your locally-made, streamlined sea kayak and given tuition by your expert guide to ensure you are well-equipped to navigate the ancient waterway. A medium level of fitness is required.

Paddle across Lake Cootharaba to Kinaba, taking in the panoramic views of the Great Sandy National Park and the Cooloola Sand Patch. Explore the Everglades, taking in the abundant wildlife along the way – pelicans, sea eagles, kangaroos, echidnas, goannas, kingfishers and more.

Weave in and out of the small islands which dot the northern reaches of Fig Tree Lake, leaving only ripples as you glide; or test your paddling stamina and head up to the iconic Harry’s Hut. You can also ‘moor up’ up and take a boardwalk tour through the tea tree lined subtropical rainforest. There’s time to take a refreshing swim in the therapeutic tea tree infused waters before enjoying a delicious lunch and heading back to base.
