If there ever was a place to stop and smell the roses, Acre of Roses is it – an award-winning luxury escape and micro–flower farm located in the heart of Trentham, near Daylesford in Victoria.
It’s set on a tranquil property with beautiful rose, peony, vegetable, herb & cutting gardens as well as perennial prairie gardens with ornamental grasses and an Apothecary & Ferment Garden.
There are two distinctive private stays to choose from. The beautifully restored Miner’s Cottage is a cosy, stylish space for up to four guests. Relax in the hot tub, warm up around the firepit, cook a nourishing meal, or watch a movie in the open-air theatre room. There’s also the rustic yet refined, dog-friendly Potting Shed for two, where you can soak in the outdoor bath, spend time in the Mediterranean-inspired garden, or toast marshmallows over the fire.
And if you’re staying between September and November, the Spring Awakening package invites guests to experience this beautiful transition with a seasonal spring posy, a rose-inspired welcome ritual, freshly baked bread and rose petal jam, plus a self-guided forest bathing invitation to help you experience Trentham’s surrounding forest slowly and mindfully.
Located only 100 metres from Trentham village, the property feels wonderfully secluded while remaining within walking distance of the town’s cafés, restaurants and shops.
