Warakirri Dining Experience

Mudgee, New South Wales

For a culinary experience like no other, immerse yourself in the beauty of Australian native foods, botanicals, culture and rituals at this 5-course degustation – the Warakirri Dining experience.

Under the helm of chef Sharon Winsor, a Ngemba Weilwan woman from Western NSW, this is bush foods dining at its best. Over four magical hours, you’ll enjoy Australian native food and beverages, all expertly prepared and beautifully presented.

The evening begins with a traditional smoking ceremony to cleanse the space and welcome guests to the table. As you dine in a curated setting, your hosts will share the significance of each ingredient and the traditions behind the cooking methods.

The menu varies with the seasons, meaning the freshest and most sustainable ingredients are used. Imagine dishes like Campfire roasted kangaroo, Bush Tomato Quiche, and wild barramundi. This isn’t just a meal. It’s an unforgettable cultural experience that fosters a deeper appreciation for Australia’s Indigenous heritage.

Warakirri is available in locations across Australia, including Sharon’s home base of Mudgee in NSW, where it is hosted several times each year. Private dining events can be arranged.
